Buccal (Intraoral) Massage Therapy
Specialized clinical facial massage for deep muscular release, jaw function, and nervous system regulation.
Buccal massage, also known as intraoral massage, is a therapeutic technique that works the muscles of the face from inside the mouth. This allows access to deep muscular and fascial structures that cannot be reached through external massage alone, including the muscles of mastication and connective tissues involved in jaw movement, facial expression, and chronic tension patterns.
This is a clinical, anatomy-based service, not a cosmetic procedure. It is designed to support functional relief, neuromuscular balance, and long-term tissue health.
-
This service is designed for individuals experiencing specific functional and neuromuscular patterns, including:
TMJ dysfunction and jaw mobility restrictions
Chronic clenching, bruxism, and facial guarding
Migraines and tension-based headache patterns
Facial nerve irritation and pain syndromes
Postural jaw imbalance and asymmetrical muscular holding
Neck and upper cervical tension linked to jaw mechanics
Trauma-pattern holding in the jaw and face
Chronic stress patterns stored in the muscles of mastication
This is not a general relaxation facial service. It is a targeted intraoral therapy intended for people seeking structural change in tension patterns, neuromuscular regulation, and functional relief.
-
Buccal massage involves gentle, precise intraoral techniques that release tension in the facial muscles through the oral cavity. By working both externally and internally, this approach addresses muscular holding patterns, fascial restriction, and neuromuscular imbalance in the jaw, face, and upper cervical region.
Because these tissues are deeply connected to the nervous system, breath patterns, and stress responses, buccal massage often produces both physical and neurological relaxation effects.
Buccal massage is affectionately referred to as “non-surgical face lift” due to its temporary lifting and sculpting effects.
-
Buccal massage is a therapeutic, anatomy-based service grounded in clinical massage therapy, kinesiology, and neuromuscular principles. This service is not a cosmetic treatment and does not involve injectables, structural alteration, or medical procedures.
-
Buccal Massage is different from my TMJD/Headache Relief sessions. We will begin with a brief facial massage to warm and relax the tissues before working inside your mouth. This 45 minute service will not include intentional work on the neck.
It is very important to come to your session with clear (makeup-free) skin and hydrated lips.
-
Buccal Massage is available to be booked on Vagaro under “Specialty Massage.” Some people see the most benefit when this service is booked as a series. At the time of the appointment, we will discuss what I believe are best options for follow-up care and long-term relief.
The session length is 45 minutes, with a 15-minute add-on available.
